I <3 New England Fall
So this is slightly outdated but about a month back Aldi and I went with his section mates to White Mountain, New Hampshire for a section camp. Going there and coming back we hitched a ride with Jordan and Nadira. It was a blast.
Many people have been asking me about the fall in New England and if it is nice with all the leaves.
It’s not nice, it’s breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL!

A Study of a Dead Moth
Sometime ago, I had a class assignment to read Virginia Woolf’s “The Death of the Moth”.
It was around the time I finally had enough of that one tattered People magazine in my bathroom. So I was pretty excited about having a new intellect material to update my look. I’m aiming for a sexy-bookish persona.
What’s more, I actually know Nicole Kidman Virginia Woolf! She was that writer who was depressed and who eventually killed herself, an event that may or may not be related to her nose.
Do NOT get a Eurail pass!
This is a slightly outdated post about our regret of buying Eurail passes but I still think it’s relevant for those of you thinking of going to Europe. I wish we knew about this earlier.
Things to get from the Staples and the Hardware Store
When friends visit me, I take them shopping. Nine West. Gap. DKNY. Banana Republic.
When my mother visited me, we went to Home Depot, Staples and any hardware store that we stumbled upon.
Great posts for people thinking about gradschools
Especially if you are thinking about changing careers and is already thinking about family (read – you’re not 21 anymore).

I agree with Penelope on all four.
There’s just much stuff to do at HBS
It’s almost been 2 weeks of regular classes now yet I haven’t established a routine yet.
There’s tons of stuff going on, a regular day gives you the following options
- 3 club presentations, often with free food
- A Career development session
- 2 Company presentations
- 2 optional class review sessions
- 3 cases to prepare for the following day
- Meeting with my mentor at the Entrepreneurship center
So far, the only items on the list that I have been consistently hitting are
- An afternoon nap (This definitely tops my list)
- Outdoor soccer pickup games (my legs are seriously sore)
- Watching Champions league games
- Drinks with my section mates
Maybe it’s time to reassess my priorities…..
How to Buy Pots and Pans
I found this very good video tutorial on eHow. It gives basic tips on choosing Pots and Pans, specially if you are really new to cooking (like me!). Unlike other guides which gives you endless options, this guy gives good advice like… “What is the most useful pan you can buy?”. Answer? 10″ or 12″ skillet with lid. You can use it for caserole, stir fry, stew, deep fry, omeletes, anything!!

Also I just want to say, if you are planning to cook asian food in induction stoves commonly found in the US, then skip on the wok. Woks are made to be used in gas burner stoves commonly found in Asian households where the fire reaches the sides and heats the entire wok evenly. In induction stoves, however, the sides are never hot enough. Better to get the skillet like the nice man in the video says
On packing light: Best and Worst Tips Ever Heard
On my Day 31 post, I did a rundown of the things Aldi and I packed for our month long backpacking trip to Europe. Which got me thinking about the best and worst packing tips I’ve heard before. Here they are:
